Healthy Homes Now is an educational site brought to you courtesy of Indoor Air Professionals, Inc (IAP). WIth offices in Western New York and Southern California, IAP is one of the largest indoor air quality (IAQ) services company in the U.S. The goal of Healthy Homes Now is to provide IAQ education, service and support for occupants of homes, health care professionals, and home improvement / ventilation contractors.  Our philosophy is to provide a more comprehensive approach to improving indoor air quality (IAQ) based on established guidelines and standards from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, American Lung Association, and other authorities.

What are our credentials?

The professionals that are available to you have had extensive case management experience with source control services, ventilation, and air purification products. We've served over 22,000 homeowners since 1993. Our team has among the largest staff of certified professionals in the indoor air quality industry in the U.S. Specific solutions and capabilities that we provide primarily in the Upstate NY area include: duct cleaning, IAQ testing & assessment, mold remediation, whole house air exchange systems, and placement of air purification units. We are also an IAQ service provider to hospitals, navy ships, and property management organizations around the world. We supply air purifiers and consulting to PURE Allergy Friendly Rooms™ – environmentally enhanced hotel rooms available to guests at select hotels, including Marriott, Double Tree, Millennium, Beverly Hills Peninsula, Mandarine, Conrad Hilton, and Garden Place Hotel (see www.pureroom.com).

Why ‘Healthy Homes Now ’?

We developed the content for the Healthy Homes Now web site to fill a void that exists for homeowners who want to improve their indoor air quality. What void? -Unfortunately, in many instances homeowners are not making decisions in context of the bigger IAQ picture. We've capsulated the health concerns and authoritative guidelines for improvement here on this site, and allow you drill deeper into expert content if desired. Good long term solutions should take into account the latest information and a more comprehensive view of engineering dynamics, science, and health impact.  There are plenty of merchants on the web and info-mercial retailers that offer a vast array of IAQ related products. The problem with a single solution approach is that IAQ is multi-dimensional, and often requires the expertise of multiple disciplines. This is why we have partner relationships with key service providers.

Healthy Homes Now is the first (and only to the best of our knowledge) to offer comprehensive resources along with a programmatic approach to guide consumers through:

• actions that can and should be performed by homeowners
• actions which require the expertise of a service provider, what to look for in selecting a service provider, and referrals to known providers within our network
• products that stand up to performance standards from trusted authorities, plus have stood up to our own field testing inside customer’s homes.   

We run ‘counter cultural’ to other sites by emphasizing educational content and offering a limited selection of ‘best of class’ products.  

We work with leading home builders, remodeling, heating and air conditioning companies, and medical professionals to integrate healthy home solutions for their customers and patients. 

We actively participate in our community’s asthma education programs, and speak at national, county and industry association forums on a wide variety of IAQ topics. Fourteen television news stories on indoor air quality and mold have featured our company as ‘the expert’.

We take the time to understand the situation before we recommend the prescription.

We are continually on the lookout for advanced technologies and methods. We do our own testing in our customer’s homes using 3rd party validation of particle, chemical, and microbial results.
